• the Pakistani foreign minister Niaz Naik said on September 18, 2001 to the British broadcaster BBC that he had been informed in mid-July meeting in Berlin of senior officials of the U.S. government that
  "Military action would begin in mid-October."
  

Where will the U.S. - be it government in July had known?
I see two possibilities here:

• Niaz Naik is at this point not to be taken seriously and has to face, that his statements can not be classified into to time sequences
• it was all just a big puppet theater and the Trans-Afghanistan Pipeline is just one more piece of the puzzle.
